Physiotherapy · Osteopathy · Sports physiotherapy

I founded Nessenius Therapie in 2022 because it's the kind of practice I would have wished for myself: a place where therapy isn't just worked through by prescription — but truly about the person behind it.

After seven years of training as a physiotherapist and osteopath, I went into private practice in 2022 — before that, I worked at the practice of Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt and spent several years at the Olympiastützpunkt München. Our years in elite sports — track and field, NBA, NHL, NFL, martial arts (judo, MMA), golf, tennis, climbing — set the standard we bring to every treatment. We combine experience from competitive sports with osteopathy and are exceptionally good at the transition from the treatment table back into activity — we stay with our patients until they can do their sport again.

What connects us

Our values

Honest

We don't promise shortcuts. We say what we do — and do what we say.

Evidence-based

Our work is built on current evidence and continuous professional development — no trend therapies.

Empathetic

We truly listen — understanding your body, your life, your sport. To us, you are more than your diagnosis.

Curious

We train every month — internally as a team and externally at professional conferences. So we always stay up to date.

Behind the scenes

What patients often want to know.

Answers to the questions we get asked most often — about the team, the practice and our work.

Franziska Nessenius founded the practice in February 2022 in Munich's old town. Before that, she gained several years of experience at the practice of Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt and at the Olympiastützpunkt München. Among others, she looked after the judo team of TSV Abensberg and the national climbing team.
Our team combines classic physiotherapy with experience from elite sports. We have looked after — and still look after — Olympic athletes such as Akani Simbine (the only sprinter to run under 10 seconds over 100m for 11 consecutive years), the German national bobsleigh team (Lukas Koller) and professionals from the NFL (Solomon Thomas) and NHL (Sidney Crosby). This expertise flows 1:1 into every treatment — whether you're a pro or not.
Yes. Franziska Nessenius and Nina Schmidt hold the sectoral Heilpraktiker licence for physiotherapy. This means we can assess and treat you without a doctor's prescription. Supplementary Heilpraktiker insurance plans usually reimburse our services partially or in full — including osteopathic treatments with Jana Nowosadtko.
Franzi still treats patients herself — even though she handles much of the practice organisation and the mentoring programme. Her appointment availability is limited; on Doctolib you can see in real time when she has openings. For many conditions, her colleagues are equally well qualified and usually available sooner.
The team consists of 6 therapists plus practice organisation. Physiotherapy & personal training: Jacob Sieberts, Toni Walter, Andrea Frenes and Nina Schmidt. Osteopathy & Heilpraktiker services: Jana Nowosadtko and Nina Schmidt. Sports physiotherapy, osteopathy & mentoring: Franziska Nessenius. Organisation & billing: Andreas Ludwig.
Three things: (1) 50 minutes per appointment, no rushing, always with the same therapist. (2) Experience from elite sports (Olympiastützpunkt, the Müller-Wohlfahrt practice, international professional athletes) — we treat at the highest level, including everyday complaints. (3) Physiotherapy, osteopathy and personal training under one roof — no need to be referred elsewhere, everything from a single source.
Yes. Through the mentoring programme, Franziska Nessenius passes on her knowledge to practice founders and young therapists — from building a business and leading a team to structured treatment concepts in a private practice.
